Introduction to SAPLI2017

Research undoubtedly upholds an educational institution through new findings which will further expand the explored field. However, Muslims are still lagging behind in embracing the culture of conducting research particularly the field of Islamic studies and other disciplines in order to uplift the ummah’s prestige of a nation. One of the factors that lead to this situation is due to a small community of researchers in an Islamic learning institution and a weak cooperative tie between one another in steering research.

Though in reality, the Muslim community today is still left behind in knowledge exploration aspect especially in activities pertaining to research and discovery of new knowledge, efforts such as organizing seminar as the 4th SAPLI 2017 may help to strengthen the culture of knowledge in leading Islamic civilization and the ummah to greater level. Thus, by organizing seminars and programs between Islamic universities may indirectly acts as a catalyst for Muslim researchers to compete in conducting and exchanging research findings which will further produce a number of high quality Islamic researchers. The findings of high quality research in various disciplines will strengthen the process of civilization.

Therefore, in accordance with the aims set out, International Islamic University College of Selangor (KUIS) in collaboration with Standing Committee on Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation of Selangor and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam has taken the initiative to organize the 4th International Seminar of Post Graduate Studies (4th SAPLI 2017) on 1st and 2nd November 2017 at De Palma Hotel Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. This seminar is also a continuation of the 1st SAPLI 2014 held in Brunei Darussalam, the 2nd SAPLI 2015 at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya and the 3rd SAPLI 2016 in UNISSA, Brunei Darussalam.
