INTRODUCTION

The Faculty of Syariah and Law, Islamic University of Selangor (UIS) will be organising the 7th Muzakarah Fiqh and International Fiqh Conference (MFIFC 2024) with the theme “Empowering People with Disabilities: Fiqh, Social, and Legal Issues.”

The 7th Muzakarah and International Fiqh Conference (MFIFC 2024) will combine two intellectual programmes: the Muzakarah session and the conference. The purpose of this conference is to support academics, scholars, and the public in cultivating a culture of knowledge and in sharing their expertise, and research findings. It is hoped that this conference will also facilitate a constructive dialogue amongst academicians, policymakers, NGOs, students, members of the public, and subject area specialists.

The conference’s conclusions will be combined into resolutions as helpful suggestions that will assist stakeholders in dealing with the challenges and issues faced by the ummah now..

The objectives of the International Fiqh Conference are:

  • To offer a forum for scholarly discourse and academic presentation on the topic's theoretical and applied aspects.
  • To give academics, stakeholders, and subject matter experts a forum to exchange ideas, opinions, and experiences about empowering people with disabilities.
  • To increase understanding for the good of the ummah as a whole.
  • To gather research findings and publish them in journals and e-proceedings for distribution to appropriate audiences..

As per tradition, MFIFC 2024 will also organise the Muzakarah Fiqh session, which will have the theme "Empowering People with Disabilities: Fiqh, Social, and Legal Issues." Stakeholders, academics, and professionals will gather to talk about the problems and difficulties surrounding the chosen matter.

The objectives of the Muzakarah Fiqh are:

  • To discuss issues regarding the Islamic, social, and legal viewpoints on the empowerment of people with disabilities.
  • To evaluate multiple viewpoints and propose practical solutions to issues pertaining to people with disabilities.
  • To improve leaders' and scholars' understanding, collaboration, and culture in addressing the ummah's concerns.
  • To gather conclusions and recommendations from the Muzakarah session and share them with the public and pertinent parties.
